Félicitation à Gautier Davesne qui vient de terminer sa maîtrise avec succès sous la supervision de Daniel Fortier ! Son projet de recherche visait à étudier l’évaluation spatio-temporelle du pergélisol alpin marginal au sommet du Mont Jacques-Cartier en Gaspésie. Ce travail de maîtrise a permis de soumettre un article intitulé “The thermal regime of mountain permafrost at the summit of Mont Jacques Cartier in the Gaspé Peninsula, Québec, Canada : a 37-year record of fluctuations showing an overall warming trend” (auteurs : J. Gray ; G. Davesne ; D. Fortier ; E. Godin) accepté avec corrections mineures dans la revue Permafrost and Periglaciaire Processes. Un second article intitulé “Snow conditions control the occurrence of contemporary marginal mountain permafrost of the Chic-Chocs mountains, south-eastern Canada – a case study from Mont Jacques-Cartier” (auteurs : G. Davesne ; D. Fortier ; J. Gray) est actuellement en phase finale d’écriture et sera prochainement soumis dans la revue The Cryosphere.
